I purchased Minecraft on Xbox Live a few weeks ago and have gotten addicted to it. I like it but it feels like i am being limited.

Is it worth it to pay another $25 for it on my computer? Is it that much better than the Xbox version?

Pros:
It's updated=Food stacks, Hardcore mode, Being able to fight a dragon and beat the game, Pistons, Tripwires, and Shears. Not to mention Breeding

Honestly there is a lot more. Minecraft on PC has way more features than the 360. I'd say the only con would be you wouldn't have as big a screen unless you have a huge monitor or a small TV.

I have both and have had MC on PC since it was released in Alpha mode. It's just better on PC right now due to it being updated. Also if you ever get bored with just regular old MC there are a ton of mods you can use to make it fun again on PC.

It's absolutely worth it. It's almost like an entirely different game.

Potions, Enchanting, Nether enhancements, The End, new blocks, Villages, Villagers, new items, new biomes...the list just goes on.

Not only that, but the Xbox version is actually falling behind quite quickly. The Xbox version is still waiting on beta 1.7.3, I believe, which is a relatively small content update containing mainly just piston and shears.

So, while beta 1.7.3 will (presumably) come out for the Xbox version within the next few weeks, patch 1.3 is coming out for the PC version on August 1st, which contains more than 4x the content of beta patch 1.7.3.

Thanks guys. I think I'm going to go ahead and buy it. Another thing I heard is that there are also invisible walls in the Xbox version so it's not like a "full world."
May try to get in your world at some point if that's cool stout.
