With the revelation that the grocery bag icon means your order is coming from your closest store, I imagine that mine won't move outside of the Preparing phase until the last minute.
I'm still sweating bullets until they're in hand, to be sure.

Yeah, there was a story in my newsfeed where Nintendo said that they were prepared for a rush of inbound traffic for people downloading the new Mario Kart.

Been a big fan of the Pokemon games since forever, and played most of the mainline games from Red/Blue/Yellow on up. But I left Scarlet/Violet alone because of the performance issues.
Excited to finally play on the Switch 2, even if most of the one-time events have already passed.

WM is delivering starting early morning (5-6AM) onward to make sure they are all delivered by 9AM.
Make sure you baws wake up early and watch your doorsteps, because you know the porch pirates will be out in force.

I will gladly take my chances in my neighborhood to wait for Walmart to deliver, then the poor bastards who are going to be picking theirs up in New York City at midnight at the Nintendo store and having to get it back to their apartment.

As long as your order didn't get unceremoniously canceled, Walmart pre-order seems the way to have gone. Promised delivery by 9am on the 5th is a whole hell of a lot better than Gamestop's promise of "on the 5th or later".

Fingers crossed. This will actually be my very first launch console, so I'm cautiously optimistic. I usually wait a solid 3-6 months, if I bother with a certain generation at all. I skipped the PS3 entirely until I was well into PS4 ownership and got a crazy deal on one of the PS1 backward-compatible early editions on eBay.

Always got everything on launch day since ps3. I wouldn't worry. Some of those weren't even marked shipped until early AM on the day of delivery.

So is there a Switch 2 edition of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet that's separate, or that's just what the S2 does with the original games with better hardware?

No separate Switch 2 edition - that is just the game running better on the improved hardware.

There's a free update, it's not running the OG switch game. Although the OG games would probably run alot better even in the emulation.

It obviously looks way better but on the Switch 2 but my primary take away from that video isn't "Wow the Switch 2 looks amazing" it's that the game looks like absolute dog shite on the Switch 1. It looks like a thick layer of Vaseline is smeared all over it.

Solo order of MKW bundle console now says it's preparing to ship. No movement on the bundle + Pro controllers yet.
EDIT - Now both show preparing to ship. 256 GB expansion SD card won't arrive until Friday, but that's no biggie.

My Target pre order had said preparing to ship for about a week now. It has also said expected June 11th the whole time. I’m guessing that will change when they ship it
