There isn't a stamina bar.
You have to turn it on. Kind of an important feature that you have to turn on but nonetheless that is the way it is. It's kind of like buying a FPS and having to turn the crosshairs on. Doesn't really surprise me though.

Yea, I wouldn't of known about it, but I played it first at my friends house and he had it on.

LOL....
What is the best way to defend against body blows? RT? I seem to get locked into those and cant get out sometimes...An easier counter?

Yea, RT is body block.
If they are kicking you and you are close push down the right analog stick and they will catch the leg and throw the guy to the ground.
It takes awhile to get the timing down..

Thanks for the pointers.
I'm getting a little better. Just got my first submission victory. I'm 10-15 now.
Really like playing with Frank Mir. Those kicks and that knee is deadly. I see what yall are saying about the stamina. This guy was a level 19 and had a hell of a lot of KO's but had a lot of L's too. I beat him because he was going for the homerun with Lesnar the whole round.
maybe before long, I'll be able to
my co-worker who owns everyone at work.

i haven't knocked anyone out online yet. all submissions. I usually let them gas and then get a quick takedown for a sub.

I'm amazed at the number of people that throw strikes non stop and gas themselves for easy subs.
I've got about 50% KO (people that know what they're doing) and 50% subs (people that don't)
of course I think I'm only like 10-0

Got a question. When you are on the ground and they are on top of you looking down, how do you kick them off? One guy did this to me everytime and I could never really get a ground and pound going...but I cant seem to be able to do the execute it.
Also, what's the deal with the created fighters? I mean, I've stopped even playing them online because most of these guys have over 100 overall with crazy strenght, speed, and submission skills. It's almost impossible to beat those guys.

Transition block between strikes.

take a fighter through Career on beginner, max str then bring up speed and cardio. You won't do any sparring until you have the lvl 5 partner and can maximize points for you fighter. You should still be able to win every fight by ko on begginer even going in with > 50% stamina. I went into several with < 20%.. (which lets you come out with 30%) just keep it off the ground.

Anyway i'm A. Silva vs Rashad Evans and he's whooping me (because of the lag) anyway he's gassing himself throwing punches so i get a takedown, minor transition and boom have him in a kimora.
so i get on XBL to a message reading "LAG SWITCH!!! I'M GOING TO HACK UR ACCOUNT YOU CHEATER!!!"
he doesn't know how to fight, is laggy and blames me for it

i also noticed i get alot of ko's with left hook when playing as myself. ko'd bj penn in 13 seconds earlier. first punch
crazy tim credeur text me the other day, 'i just ko'd amir sadalloh with a kyle bradley death hook.'
kinda funny story. game came out the day i left for vegas for ufc 98. rich clementi came with me, and brought his xbox.
we picked up the game as soon as we get there, with plans on fighting each other with our respective characters.
we had my hotel room full of people. drew mcfedries wanted to check it out, so he had his people in there.
we fought 3 rounds to a 28-28 unanimous draw our very first fight. there was genuine excitement as we awaited the decision, both of us thinking we pulled it out

great stories.
Rich is fighting on the Silvia vs Mercer card here in B'ham tomorrow, I hope he does better than a draw. Which the Silvia Mercer fight is no longer Boxing and is now MMA...

oh, and that show in bama is being promoted by mine and clementi manager, monte cox. rich has a tough fight in pittsburgh in 2 weeks, and wanted a tune up. so let monte know he would fight the local b-ham badass for FREE!. so in steps sasuke zapata, 17-0 having never fought outside his hometown. TRANSLATION- having never experienced the level fighter Rich Clementi is. search sasuke zapata on youtube and u will know what i'm saying. I just hope rich doesn't break the kids desire to compete, because he seems nice enough. Just in WAY over his head
