Trying to Join a Game with Friends

Not working for me. It keeps telling me that it is unable to connect and will not let me join a party. My little 9 year old bro just got it and wants to play. Any clues on why it is doing this?

Because it's release day. It happens.

But it lets me join of my friends' games, but not his. Is it something wrong with his xbox? They do have shitty internet

Maybe...but it just might be release day traffic and activision not being prepared.

I get that. Ill go with that one. I just found it odd that it worked for one of my friends but not my little bro. I dont know if his nat is open, but could that be a problem?

Yeah most likely. If its strict, he will have issues.

Strict Nat will do it too.
Yep. Also, try bypassing any router (if present) and going straight from the modem to the console. This solves things for me when I'm having problems.

This. It is on the main lobby screen. It shows what his NAT is. If not open or moderate....there will be problems. If his shows strict, he will have to go into his router and configure it or set a certain port outside the DMZ. He can google on how to do that depending on his router and IP address.
