Haven't loved a game this much since To The Moon. Highly recommend it to anyone who likes: beautiful visuals, great storyline, phenomenal music, and a unique, complex, fun combat system. The game is just a complete work of art and I could hardly put it down once I started. Oh and the music reminded me of Cowboy Bebop, very nostalgic.

Started it. Need to finish. Like the music.

I have it, but haven't played it. I wish they had it for Vita.

I wanted to love this game but simply liked it. The art is beautiful and the soundtrack is awesome. I actually still listen to some of the music while at work.
However, the plot just felt too obtuse and this is coming from someone who enjoys more open stories with multiple interpretations. Too much of it was explained in menu text which was locked away until you used weapons in certain ways. I think locking content away in this manner is clever, since it gives the player an incentive to alter their play style, but getting more text to read just wasn't a big enough carrot for me to care.
Having said that, I thought it was brilliant how you could assign an ability as a direct power, a passive trait for your character, or a buff for an existing power. I just wish there was more of a reason for me to explore it, because once I found a combination that was working for me, I had little cause to alter it.
I'm eager to see what Supergiant Games is working on next because Transistor was close to being something great.

It's quite lovely. Lots of fun and the combat system was pretty fresh. The little challenge modes in the beach area were pretty fun too.
