i watched batman the animated series everyday after school. i don't remember robin ever leaving. then i was in my teens when the teen titans came out. i didn't have time for that crap. then i started watching things like american pie, superbad, etc.

I was, but I had a double yesterday.
It's not an obsession. And it's not with duchovny. Fox Mulder is one of my all time favorite characters. He's smart, funny, sleazy and obsessed with finding the truth. Like many characters who are shades of gray (Jack Bauer), he is black and white...ethically speaking. He's driven by one single goal, and like batman, refuses to make compromises.
Watching he and Gillian anderson's chemistry develop over the course of the first 6 seasons is the best television ever produced and duchovny's portrayal is just spot on.
He's my favorite Television character bar none.

And also like batman, he never gives up, despite having every reason to do so and just blends intellect and "the wit of the peasant man" (Oswald Spengler quote) perfectly

7 has good monster of the week episodes, but it's where the alien conspiracy becomes stupid. Chris Carter just flew by the seat of his pants With the main story instead of plotting a few seasons ahead, oh and you can't have x files without fox mulder season 8 & 9 are hard to watch.

I liked X-Files alright. Drove me nuts that no matter how many times he was proven right, Scully still refused to believe Mulder half the time
Since I want to ask Finch where he got his name from, I stole mine from "Trainspotting", a nasty little movie about heroin addiction. One of my favorite characters was "Sick Boy", so I just took out the K and made it my own. I used to go by SlyPirate, but I got enough "butt pirate" jokes to do me for a few lifetimes.

trainspotting is a good flick...not alot of rewatchability (if that's even a word)

I watched it a few times back in my Movie Gallery days. The Begbe poop in the sheets scene was too much

I get freaked out when I know he's running at me but he's around one of the corners instead of behind me or in front of me...I start panicking every time, but I think that's only on the highest difficulty

Since I actually use 2 different names I have 2 different stories.
BaddestAndvari - because Andvari was already taken, 1) Andvari is an awesome Norse God 2) It is my "MMO" name if you will.. Aion, Rift and FFXI that has been my name. Putting "Baddest" before it ended up being a mistake.. and I wish I could go back in time and just call myself what I am known as on the interwebs.. but I digress.
Pr0jektblack - This name goes back to my Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Academy days, when I was a member of a clan and we owned EVERYONE on those servers. 3 of my friends and me found out we lived close to each other and also found out we each played a different instrument for a Rock band, we can up with the name of the band "Pr0jektblack" and when the band never happened, I took over the persona.
