Read what I posted Mr. Finch.. I'm pretty sure the games take place in the "Post-Crisis" setting, which means Dick Grayson has been Nightwing for a good long while now.

I guess someone wrote "duh" in the description somewhere.
I had to do a podcast for an online school I was in last year, and it was about the advantages and disadvantages of online classes, and one of the advantages, to me, was being able to do my homework while lying in bed. So I type "reading in bed" into Google image search, cuz I wasn't going to have my roommate photograph me in my bed, and you can just guess the type of images that came up. Got to be careful with that junk
i thought robins name was dick grayson
I'm surprised at this point in his life he hasn't started asking for people to refer to him as "Richard".
Also, will Aunt Harriett be a playable character? If not, to hell with this game.

Speaking of Boner....
He is actually the original Chekov's son......AND he played joker in this little short.
Funny how that worked out, huh?
i'm confused on the robin situation now.
Dick Grayson got older and decided to stop living under Batman's shadow and went solo as Nightwing. Batman recruits a new Robin named Jason Todd, he lasts a little while but gets killed by the Joker. Then Batman brings in another new Robin, Tim Drake, who's the current Robin.
Also, turns out Todd isn't dead, and has reappeared in Gotham as a villain, the new Red Hood.
What'd I miss? Besides the chick Robin from DKR, but I won't get into that.

Wayne and Talia al Ghul's son Damian Wayne.. who is actually the "real" Robin, but he's pretty young, and there is no chance this Robin is him, simply because this Robin LOOKS like Tim Drake or Grayson... and I'm hoping Nightwing makes an appearance in this game, so yeah.. I'm going with Drake.

At the point this game takes place, the original robin (DG) has become nightwing, the second robin, Jason Todd has been killed by the joker, and Tim drake is the 3rd robin...Barbara Gordon, paralyzed by the joker, is oracle...a computer wiz who assists batman...you spend the entire time in AAsylum communicating with her

i knew that. it's just the massive number of robin's batman's gone through that confused me. if dick and tim are two different characters, how'd batman meet them. i thought he met dick at the circus where his parents were murdered. or do i have it backwards?

So it's gone from Arkham City countdown to a full blown comic book now
I'll know Batman's entire history by the time this thread is done

Yeah. I'm in to the game, but never the comics. I won't be contributing to this part of the discussion

I don't know, but Tim drake is the closest to batman of all the robins, he has genius intellect that rivals batman's even while he's a teen and is noted as an equally good detective and a good mix of the 1st 2 robins...DG's acrobatic skills and JT's physical prowess

Only comics I used to read was Tales from the Crypt. I have issues like that

I just bought my first comic a couple of days ago to help with the batman fever. Long Halloween is more like a movie...it's awesome

Just so you know, there's a Batman: AC Comic tie in that is running. Prequel leading into the game. Issue #3 (of 6 I believe) just came out.

I have actually never owned a comic book in my life! I just know a lot about Batman thanks to 1) an overzealous batman friend and 2) The GT Retrospective they did a few years ago.
As for the changing over of Batman and Robins.. yeah it's just kinda how it is. Grayson was the circus story. Jason Todd the 2nd Robin had a rough childhood where his father went to prison and never came back and mother was a drug addict, tried to steal the wheels off the batmobile, and wayne took him in.
Tim Drake's story is soo much cooler though, at a very young age he went to see "The Flying Grayson's" at the circus, and Dick because his "mentor" of sorts during the performance.. but then saw Grayson's parents murdered and batman carrying him away. He then found out that Wayne had adopted Grayson and figured out their identities. Drake saw Grayson leave Batman, and then Todd get killed and was worried cause he saw Batman become "darker."
When Nightwing left the Titans for a short time in order to find himself, Tim followed him and after helping Dick solve a mystery at Haley's Circus, was able to convince Dick that Batman needed help. However, where Dick intended to help Batman as Nightwing, Tim remained convinced that Batman needed Robin more. Dick ignored these pleads and raced off to help his mentor, only for both Dick and Bruce to be captured by Two-Face.
Realizing that his idols were in danger, Tim donned the costume of Robin, at only thirteen years old and with the help of Alfred Pennyworth, was able to rescue them. Batman, although extremely reluctant, accepted Tim as the new Robin on a trial basis after being convinced by the boy, as well as Dick and Alfred. He was trained over several months, first by Alfred, then Batman, and finally Nightwing before ever being allowed to wear the costume again or go into the field.
