yeah, and I was watching the Real World Las Vegas (full of big time fricking homophobes) and then 2 of the cast members who never frick, hook up or have any interest in each other get married as a joke.

P.S: It's ok to cuss imo.. that's another thing the church of our time has distorted.. when you start "cursing" AT people, in a way that the Lord would find sinful, then you are wrong.. as for going to church.. yeah.. your poor mom.

republicans should really just let go of their social agenda...their economic message should have a higher priority in their campaign platform than whether or not gays should be able to get married.

It's all very much the bible. The fringe idiot "God hates fig" so called Christians have really distorted how the church should actually deal with it.
There are "secular" reasons I have as well. Mainly refutals of what some scientists and other minds have said.

If nothing else Fox, if you are to believe in evolution, then the point of sex is to procreate and carry on our genes to a new generation. Marriage was created in order to bring order and "control" to our species, and you put both of them together. ding ding ding! There is no reason for it in the gay community, because marriage wasn't created in 10k BC to help out the gay community, but to bring order to procreation.
(As my history teacher put it, Alpha male didn't want female to sleep with Alpha male 2,3,4,5 and 6 so Alpha male 1 told female marriage was a must, and she must stay with Alpha male because of it.)

Basically that conducting yourself in that manner is the way that you lived in your former life, before God renewed it. It's not that you still won't do those things ever again, but you shouldn't still revel in them and you should be thankful that God has saved you to a better way of life.
It's a constant message in the New Testament. Why do you want to dwell in your old way of life when you have been given such a better one? Be thankful. Move on.

but here is the deal...we are a secular country...separation of church and state. I'm not an atheist (I'm agnostic I guess, I just don't believe we're floating around on accident)
This is America, and no one should prevent same sex couples from having their union being recognized by the government. And if the government wants to call it "marriage" then who the frick cares. The government is retarded anyway. It doesn't impact the lives of those who believe it is wrong in any way, shape or form.
