If you thought playing me was bad, you should play some of the people in my league...
I run run run, because I can't pass pass pass.
I actually was planning on using a custom playbook when we played, wanted to try out some wishbone stuff, but the game loaded up with the base offensive playbook.
I ran 10-15 different types of run plays, have ran the ball alot (and gotten better at it). It's all about reading how the defense lines up. Attempt to run to where the defense is lightest. Doesn't work all the time, but enough.
Even tried out the little counter play out of the shotgun. In practice, that play NEVER works. But someone in my league used that alot on me to great effect. Most of this game is learning from the things that others do to you.
Got lucky enough on that 70 yard bomb, best PA play I've done in years.
On my defense, it's mostly "I chose Alabama" and that should just about say it all ;)
But yeah, Multi D, just so I can have some 4-3, while getting the various Nickel packages (4-2-5, 2-4-5) and just trying to be varied in the blitzes I bring. Lots of Lattimore Highlighting (seems to help a little) That's (left trigger+ Running Back Button). Also used this when you went to that 5 wide look (going to the TE in the middle) Highlighted him and Hightower ended up with 2 picks.

Yup, I'm changing my audibles tonight a bit. I hate throwing it, but if I'm going to throw it, it's almost always going to be a "between the zone" type throw. With me running with a no-back formation straight out of the huddle.. it's not to hard to defend cause you know it's a throw coming. - if I can audible it, it'll make it a bit harder to defend.
As for the Mutiple D thing.. yeah I really think I like the idea of 4-3 and Nickel.. I reallly like both of those formations.

So I probably shouldn't post this.. but..

There's this blitz on 2-4-5 that I like. Something like the Slot CB and the OLB on that side come blitzing, the 2 Down Linemen slant the same direction, while one MLB rushes to cover the Blitzing CB, and the remaining 2 LB's zone the middle and other side.
I mainly like it, because of the movement of the Linemen. It's almost horizontal (where say, the lineman lines up against the LG, and ends up contacting the RG) I find that much movement up front can be enough to spook people enough that they don't concentrate on the throw, leading to bad bad things.
Running the Ball, it takes awhile to get down. Just to get comfortable with any of the run types (Dives, Counters, Strech, Draws) Still not keen on Toss Sweeps. Mostly because in Practice, they never work. Leads to me never using them in games.
But I am frustrated with screen plays. I could pull them off in NCAA 11, but I fail miserably in 12. I can maybe pull off 1 out of every 5, which is not a good ratio.

I should run more screens.. but like finch said, I honestly need to run up the middle more than I do, I really like the counter and toss plays a bit more than I should.
As for defense, if I can get someone into a pass offense, the game is over for them. If you have me confused, and I think you are running it 99% of the time, I'm probably going to lose the game. I think if I could get a good blitz package, I'll be a lot better, because nothing screams: "make them change what they are doing" better than blitzes.

Not to say that the game overall doesn't frustrate me. I does INCREDIBLY.
Just lost season 2 opener by 4 points. In a game I fumbled 7 times. It's lead to the banning of using the Aggresive Strip Ball feature
I played in our BCS Championship game, against another guy's Oregon team. I went up 14-0, and in the 2nd quarter, the game Disconnected. I went on to lose the restart by 3 points (in a game I threw 4 INT's, 1 for a Pick 6, and Fumbled a Punt (stupid fair catch button fail), also returned for a TD)
Looking at our Season 1, I don't think a single member of the league finished inside the top 80 in Passing. We threw as many INT's as Touchdown Passes. Passing is HAAAARD, and the commish won't mess with any sliders to ease up a bit.
So, Run Run Run Run.
