Until you wait tables, you can never understand how you get to the point where you can spot certain demographics or types of people that tip well or don't. Ant it's not being racist or whatever. You bust your butt for that tip (it's how you make your money, not an hourly wage), and it can be crushing to give what you think would be the best service that table could get, and they don't have enough sense to pay you for it.

I worked at a golf course and had to bar tend a bunch of parties or weddings, and it would be me (not a bad looking guy), and this really flirtatious and a bit slutty blonde girl. We split tips, so we just had the arrangement of her taking care of all the middle-aged or elderly men, and I handled the rest.
