I used him a lot earlier in the year, but now I've been using Xander and the 97 Hanley. Eventually I'm going to sell him though, not for anything less than 200K though.

Well no clue if anyone else was on tonight, but if you had all the 25-man collection missions done, it glitched out for like 20 minutes where you could claim all the division and league collection rewards.

So essentially I got Ripken, Kemp, Kaline, Bagwell, Stocker, A-Rod, Robinson etc.

Not sure what they're gonna do, but Ramone says they're gonna try and take the cards away.

Honestly don't care if they take the cards, I wanted the exp to finish up lvl 50 on Donaldson

Is there stuff offered on the captains things past level 30? I have level 30 in 3 different players but just switched to start a different player as soon as I got to 30 as opposed to building it more

The max level you can get for a captain is 50.

There are rumors that people think they'll eventually add something for being lvl 42. Not sure why that number, maybe Jackie Robinson? But that's the rumors on Reddit at least.

I got all my captains to lvl 30 first. Now I'm working on getting them all higher now.

Did anybody create a pitcher on RTTS? What's that like?

IMO you have to be careful with the difficulty if you run RTTS with a pitcher. It's way too easy to bulldoze your way through AA and get called up to the Bigs (sometimes even bypassing AAA) as an 18 year old, where of course you get your shite pushed in with homers galore.

I bump up the difficulty substantially when I do a pitcher. JMO.

Use dynamic difficulty. I much prefer pitching to hitting.

I did and that's all I play. Started on dynamic and cruised through the minors. Now in my 5th season, I play on Legend. I enjoy the challenge.

Has anyone else had any issues with downloading the new content? I keep getting an error message, which won't let me play with online capability unless it downloads.

THIS GAME IS RIGGED FOR EXCITEMENT

I was pitching lights out.

I was up 3-1 going into the bottom of the 9th

First pitch HR

New pitcher

First pitch HR

Next batter First pitch HR

Done 4-3

All pitches were low and outside, FWIW.

All I'm saying is this game is rigged for moments like that.

That's not the first time I've come across crazy 9th inning shenanigans.

I do so well when I pitch with Matt Garza. Not sure why but I do.

There is no rubberbanding or scripting in this game at all in H2H, the devs and literally every player who is remotely decent can attest to that.

Now if you're talking against the CPU, i dont know if they ramp up the CPU late. That definitely could be possible.

Momentum is a HUGE proponent in this years game. Go play BR, and leave your starter in after giving up two base hits with zero outs and tell me you don't give up at least two runs. Even if it means making things super unrealistic like watching Kenny Lofton or Jarrod Dyson hit no doubt HRs off a left handed pitcher (it's been done to me on several occasions) The game is built to punish people for leaving pitchers in too long.

My biggest issue with online play is All-Star difficulty. Since I am a streamer, I am always looking for more people to join my channel so I have my twitch info as my Main logo so my opponent can see and join my channel while we play if they so choose. I played a guy last night and he beat me 12-9. Between the two of us, we had 15 HRs in a 9 inning game. He admitted that every time he swung the bat he was power swinging. Simply because it was on all-star difficulty and the PCI is absolutely gigantic. Now I am rated roughly 1700 in H2H and I know that once I get to 1750 I will be able to play games on HoF (which should be the default setting IMO). However, I don't have the best team and most of the people I play against have Reggie Stocker, and Mike Trout, etc. So it's hard for me to win back to back games.

Yes, this is true. But just because you're winning doesn't mean that the other team is absolutely guaranteed to come back and win. You just have to learn to read the situation. If I have a reliever let up one hit in a close game that's late, I typically always replace him and I don't have many issues.

The only thing that I will say that I think increases late in a game that you're leading in, is if I hang a pitch it's likely going to be driven out of the ballpark. I learned from that early though and now I'll walk someone before I try and force a strike that may hang or be in the center of the plate.

This is something I've noticed. I'm like a 1620 ranking and if I go from playing Extra Innings on Legend, then play a H2H or a BR game, the PCI is absolutely massive.

Maybe not come back and WIN but there is definitely some form of coming back built in to the game. The game I mentioned the guy had me down 7-2 in the second inning and I came back the next inning and hit 3 HRs to bring it back to 7-6. Eventually I tied it up, but lost in the end

I think there may be some form of coming back built in, but the player still has to capitalize on it.

I've had plenty of games where my opponent either can't lay off of low changeups or can't hit a high and inside fastball and I'll just pump those pitches in those spots until they prove otherwise and I'll likely win 7-0.

I'm a mediocre player and I'll admit that it usually takes me 5-6 innings to finally get down my opponents repertoire. If they keep their starter in for too long, I typically make them pay for it.

Anyone stick to a fastball and occasional curve? Works for me.

Fastball change up is still the most effective 1-2 punch in the game provided a good change in velocity between the two

In H2H I literally don't rely on any pitch. I do my best to trick my opponent.

You have no idea how many times that I've struck people out looking with a waist high curveball. It fools the shite out of people.

I just do my best to not build up any tendencies. That's key to being succesful.

You all were right in saying that pitching is pretty fun on RTTS. Question, I was drafted by the Nationals and have been in their farm system for almost 2 whole years without being called up even though I've had some really good stats. Should I keep waiting until they call me up or request a trade? I was called up to AAA about halfway through season last year.
