In madden 07,08,and 09, I used to dominate with the deep ball. in '10, every single bomb i throw is totally off target. In the previous games the best way to throw a deep pass was to tap the button of the receiver. Is there some new technique im missing? if so what is it?

im not an idiot, I realize that I can't hope to throw deep balls against triple coverage and stuff like that. But I literally havent been able to complete a single one, and I only throw them to single-covered receivers

Who are you playing with? The QBs now have ratings for short, medium, and long ball accuracy.

in 10, Brees is better known for his short to mid range accuracy, not the deep ball. There aren't many qb's in the game with good deep ball accuracy. Brady is one and I think Palmer is another.

I usually win a majority of the deep balls/jump balls with Colston. Other than that your guy has to be well behind the defender I have found.

One thing that bothers me about Madden 10 is that if there is one on one coverage, the CB almost ALWAYS wins. I can usually hit Colston deep, but on deep routes if its man to man with no safety help, the CB will win that battle 95% of the time.

With brees on madden 10 i dominate the deep routes. If i can get devery, meachum, or bush in single coverage on the outside its likely a TD. I think it helps if you hot route to the bump-coverage-streak-route (Up on RS). This works really well in man & cover 2
