Mac cancels the audio part when going to the Television unlike Microsoft laptop.

It's been years since I pulled out my MacBook.. for these very reasons.
(I currently stream movies and TV shows over my network through tversity on my desktop to my 360, works like a charm, and no chords required, it's also the only thing my 360 is used for anymore

You have a ps3, you should look into tversity, it worked for ps3 the last time I looked at the website.

Hooking up my Toshiba 2TB into my PS3 would work?

No.... you setup tversity on one of your computers, you then get tversity on said computer to point towards the 2 tb of data. Tversity then streams said media to your ps3 in a format that the ps3 recognizes. So your computer work together to becoming a streaming service in your own network.

I just went buy a 3.5mm audio cable to hook up to my tv and my my mac still doesn't work. I couldn't find a 3 ring one they only had 2 rings. I had to order one online if that doesn't work I will be pissed.
