Anyone play this?

I just bought it and installed this weekend, this game is amazing. Survival horror game where you are crashed in a beautiful forest and have creepy canibals living in caves that will hunt you down. You can build forts and boats and hunt and do all kinds of cool stuff while unraveling the mystery of the game.

Just went and watched the video review. Looks pretty interesting. Watching the video review made me want to play dying light though.

It is similiar, but this one is much more of a simulation/strategy game than Dying Light was a more straightforward shooter. It takes a couple days to build a defensive fort or a houseboat, or explore an area without being detected. I have wasted about 8 hours over two nights on it and I’m hooked. The AI on the canibals is crazy, they will learn and adapt to your strategy as time goes on.

How much of a shitstorm am I in for in the caves? I don’t want to go in and get killed and lose my progress, but I know where several of them are...am I good with a bow and a few spears and clubs?

You definetly want to start up a camp, kill some food. dry the meat and bring it with you. also killing a deer and getting the skin and i believe rope...make a water pouch. those are pretty essiential for the caves. having a stick and wrapping it in cloth makes a torch per se. if you have that you should be okay but be careful.

also. make the markers (its a craftable item) and place them in the caves so you can find your way out.

me and my friends love this game and this is just the tip of the information that i can share. we are on day 30.

Also, the caves have the best stuff to advance in the game from what i can tell. like flashlights and dynamite (although that can be found on the island outside). and some bad arse weapons but i won't spoil that for you

Thanks! I’m building a camp but the damn patrols keep raiding me before I can chop down 3 or 4 trees. I have to jump on my raft and paddle off. I explored both directions up and down the coast and in some spots while raiding parties of the canibals would see me, I have no idea how to fight all of them off by myself in the single player campaign.

Played it a long time ago on PC. Really fun game. Caves aren’t too dangerous. The really crazy stuff is slow. You just have to worry about aggroing a ton of cannibals.

Caves aren't bad, especially now that you can attach a flashlight to your bow.

Once you clear a cave area the respawn is close to never, you'll be searching them for story clues and progress items.

Make a club early, skull and stick, has great block.

AI has a normal set route but as they encounter stuff you build they'll make new routes.

Make the bags early. Makes building easier.

You can build log holders and racks on a boat. Make a stronghold on an island so the assholes don't frick up your garden. Tree houses are great but beware mutants finding you they can one shot a tree and frick you over.

Sharks fricking suck.

I’ve played many hours on PC. Find the Katana. It is deadly on the cannibals.
