I've been running with an Assault Rife as my first primary.
I had a sub as my second primary to begin with but switched to a LMG last night. Those 100 round magazines are sweet, but the recoil is crazy.
I have a Marksman rifle in my backpack at all times I can switch to if necessary.

I will pop my marksman rifle off rapid fire without the scope. You have to wait for the cross hair to drop back down for a second but it works.
If things get close I switch to Sub.
