5/4 SOTG recap shamelessly stolen from reddit:
I really like the planned changes for 1.2,but I'm still skeptical based on Massive/Ubis track record with this game
quote:
04/05/2016 SotG A helpful update for those we missed this weeks SotG, and there is a lot to take in today ladies & gentlemen so buckle up. All quotes taken from the stream with community devs and a technical coordinator.
1.2 is in testing phase and is intended to be rock solid.
No exact date on 1.2 - "soon"
"A lot" of bug fixes dropping in 1.2, including Reckless chest & One is None.
LOOT: Conceed they have taken the focus away from crafting, but didn't do enough to make the loot drops good enough/easy enough to obtain. Currently improving quality of HE drops.
1.2: "Be generous" with loot, in terms of source, quality and quantity of loot. They want the loot to be the "main source of upgrade"
1.2: New DZ bracket, 200ivl+ - provides opportunity to face tougher npcs in DZ, with better rewards. "Much more really good loot" "The best quality of loot possible" "240 gear sets drops, 204 items drop." "Reduced mod drop rates, changed the weights of other drops, increase chance for weapon drops."
1.2: All activities receive increased rewards: quality and quantity.1.2: Incursions will drop more loot in 1.2 (suggestive)
1.2: All DZ brackets receive increased loot quantity and quality, in order to allow players progression through DZ to the 200+ bracket through DZ loot.
1.2: No green or blue division tech in 200+ ONLY YELLOW DIV TECH1.2: Only level 32-34 enemies in dz 200+
1.2: Hinted at improving supply drops "you will fight for the supply drops believe me."
1.2: "The removal of bullet king and "love for PvE" will return in 1.2"1.2: No nerfs in all the "balancing" only buffs.
1.2: "Buff weaker stuff, not nerfing strong stuff" - "NO DRASTIC NERFS"
1.2: Balanced should only affect the very first shot, nothing else.
I really like the planned changes for 1.2,but I'm still skeptical based on Massive/Ubis track record with this game

This.
I started DCUO last night and it is a blast, so I won't let myself get my hopes up for this patch. I have an Atomic/Shield guy and it is fun, even if it is a little outdated and formulaic. The DC comics nerd from 1995 in me is loving it.

Did they mention what the gear score of the new purple sets and weapons will be? If it is higher than 240/204, and you can craft stuff higher than 240/204 with blueprints then we are right back where we are now at a higher threshold.

well this is all interesting. gonna sift through the salt on the sub and see peoples reactions.
tried out falcon lost challenging mode. couldn't make it to wave 2. got destroyed.
keep in mind I can solo the PIT, q building, mid town music etc (32 elite camps). but 4 people with similar gear and ability as me got destroyed on that abortion of a pve encounter.
I think its tuned against PC players who can chain sniper headshots way more easily.
the invisible residual fire left after an APC mortar is dumb.

Everything you just said is what has been keeping me from playing the game.
Every end game activity is just hard for the sake of being hard. The DZ grind is hard because it takes so fricking long, it is punishing.
The incursion CM is hard because they just pump up the heath and damage of everything. Its not challenging, it is punishing. Two very different environments.
When Destiny released the raids, they were tough no doubt, but they were not just pumped up enemies with no mechanics. It was engaging and interesting. The incursion is just punishing with no redeeming qualities. The DZ is just grind grind grind grind, no redeeming qualities. Punishing.
It all shows a glaring lack of vision, ideas, execution and innovation by gating you with ridiculous grinds and punishing missions with a very slight chance of getting an upgrade, leading you to do it over and over again. They should have a variety of ways to get the best gear with interesting activities to get said gear. The way it is now is just a hamster wheel that never gets interesting.

I am extra happy about skills getting buffed.
Also happy about more drops/better quality.
They need to fix this game. It's too good conceptually for it to suck this much.

So is one of the glitches that daily missions won't load?

Some days there are just no daily missions, sometimes the missions won't start and you have to try again.

I tried to load into the Lincoln tunnel about 5 times today l. frick that, not worth it.

I haven't played in almost a week after playing almost daily since launch. Waiting to see if the new patch fixes at least some of the major flaws in the game before I log in again. Only way I'll get on is if tomorrow there is a weapon better than what I have

Yes that is one of the complaints. Was the "gate' to LT closed ?
Posted on 5/5/16 at 10:18 am to Mr Gardoki
I don't think I've ever gone from 100 to 0 with interest for a game faster than I did with this game.

FWIW
I have enjoyed reading this entire thread, the positives and negatives.
I have always been a sports gamer, mainly CFB. I actually had not touched any type of game in about 3 years.
Friend at work put me on this game, I bought it for my son's xbox and have played "The Division" a good bit.
Many of the things I see people here and other places complain about have not been a n issue for me. Probably because I am a noob at this type of game.
I still get confused by many of the stats in the game but am slowly becoming a little better at getting the stats how I want them.
Currently I have a 150 GS. Trying to stay below 160 until friends from work catch up.
Just changed some gear out that gives me 99k DPS, 65k Health, but dropped me to 14K skill. Still have my other gear to revert to that gives more skill and drops DPS.
Weapons:
Primary =HE Pakhan, have modded it to make it more stable.
Secondary = swap between a 131 Vector or M44, depending on situation. I am hoping to get a HE Socom M1A to replace the M44.
Side Arm = ran with appropriate level sawed off shotguns until recently. Crafted a HE Damascus and really like it.
Thanks to all for the info in the thread and any simple advice on adjusting stats would be welcome.

That's a solid health score at your level, but I would try and shift some of that into skill or DPS, depending on your playstyle.

Will mostly get crapped on by people, but I like it as a secondary.

The first time you see a purple First Wave M1A, grab it. The HE one hardly ever freaking drops and the purple one can be modded to still be very effective.
Stats to focus on - Armor, damage to elites, +1 mod slots, + critical damage, + critical chance, + headshot damage, and scavenging to a lesser extent. It helps at lower levels more than higher ones.

welcome. the 1-30 is great. the endgame is a bit of a chore.
I personally love it but I love grindy loot games and pvp. the darkzone is a lot of fun for me. I can farm, rogue hunt, go rogue, try new builds, etc.
I fully understand why many people hate the end game.
with that said, if you want to fine tune your guy for the end game, here are my tips.
guns are straight forward. use what you like and have fun with. Yes there are "meta guns" but that's not really too important
armor is where it gets particular. Here is a general baseline for gearing your guy up.
Get just enough firearms and electronics to unlock any weapon talents you like. Both stats have diminishing returns past a certain point.
ARMOR is the most important thing for you at the moment. the cap is 4640. do everything you can to get to it.
+Armor comes on: Chest, kneepads, backpack, holster.
get MOD SLOTS on your armor pieces and craft +stam/armor gear mods.
get a TRIPLE STAT Holster.
electronics is useless as a stat in most situations HOWEVER +skillpower is great. +skillpower on your Mask, Backpack, and gear mods help a lot.
Critical Hit Chance, critical hit damage, headshot damage are great stats.
familiarize yourself with the RECALIBRATION table. Only recal Firearms/Stamina/Electronics and MAJOR attributes.
'Savage' on Gloves and 'reckless' on Chest are the two best armor talents. this will change in the 1.2 patch

Create a new lvl 1 character and take everything out of the 'shared stash' and put it in their backpack.
Equip a lvl 29 pistol on your main.
Something in your stash or backpack is making the game think your gs could be higher.
Or its bugged.
Fwiw I think there are more rogues in the low gs zone than the higher
