The hulk ultimate destruction game on ps2 was so fun.

Yeah one of the missions I just let the squad wreck shite while I swung around as Miss Muslim dodging shite to do the objective.

Going to try the Open Beta today. Anyone here still playing it?

I feel like this game is trying to be too many things at one time.

So I pre-ordered this even after reading a lot of the negatives out of the Beta. Played it for a little while last night and it's not terrible but nowhere near great.

The AI is terrible but completely OP at the same time. I understand they have to have some linearity with respect to AI vs hero strength but it's just bad sometimes. It takes three hits from Hulk/Thor and the same three hits from Iron Man, no matter the enemy. Dodging enemy attacks is meaningless so far, except the first "boss" fight.

My next big issue is flying, it's just not fluid and trying to fly and aim is just bad. Then you have to choose how to attack enemies in flight. Do you ascend over to them to fight or just shoot from the ground.

The good parts are really good though. I quickly forgot that the characters are B-List actors that look nothing like the MCU characters, but feel like comic book characters. Hand to hand combat feels really nice. The Black Widow - Taskmaster fight was fun and somewhat challenging.

The story so far is really good which leads me to the best part of the first 90 mins I played, Kamala Khan. The fighting and general movement (running, jumping, swinging, etc) feels awesome and so far the game feels made for her character. The morphing around enemy attacks while fighting is awesome.

I don’t get all you people in this thread shitting on it. Half of you haven’t played it and the other half are mad about the micro transactions. Grow a pair, pussy.

Or Pokémon go. My buddy’s fiancée gave him shite about playing a little bit of “that childish Grand Theft (Auto) crap” with me, yet she spends hours of her weekend playing that game and getting him to help her.

Gaming was better for gamers when it was niche and for genuine nerds, not pop culture cosplayers.

Played some more last night. Fighting with The Hulk gets worse at every turn. At this point, I spend most of my time jumping in the air and elbowing the ground to eliminate enemies. I hate using a special ability to regenerate health and stupid shields can withstand 6-7 hits.

I'm about 2 hours into the game, spoiler below...
















The Hulk-Abomination fight was just tedious. I never felt threatened and feel like any Avenger could have defeated him easily, including Khan who is still learning to fight.

I watched some beta footage. It seems like it is just a high-definition re-make of Marvel Avengers: Ultimate Alliance.

Hopefully it's not a total mess but most big budget games tend to start out as a mess and get patched so much upon release.

IGN is bought and paid for. SE didn’t cut them a check.
