Very surprise announcement, what appears to be a super faithful and awesome movie tie in game to a 34 year old movie. That happens to still be the greatest action movie of all time.

If you;re into retro style 2D games and also love Terminator 2, looks like they are gonna hit this one out of the park.

You play as both the T-800 and Sarah Conner in the 1991 present and as adult John Conner in the future.

Multiple gameplay styles depending on the levels. There's Contra style run n gun levels, Double Dragon style beat em up levels, and more adventure based explore/accomplish objective levels.

Arnold must have negoitated his likeness rights seperately when making T2 because every single character from the movie looks exactly like the actor that played them, with the exception of hte T-800 which is sort of a generic muscular dude.

Comes out on every platform imaginably September 5th.

All the T2 games (except the light gun game) sucked back in the day The Genesis and Sega Cd Terminator 1 games are pretty good as is the Robocop vs Terminator but its nice to finally get what looks like a good T2 based game.

The arcade T2 game was awesome, probably the one you meant. The console games were all trash, as were 99% of movie tie in games.

Yes and the SNES and Genesis versions of that game were ok. I played the hell out of them any way.

Ya know TBH now that I think about it, the 8 bit and 16 bit era actually had some pretty damn good movie tie in games. More so than in later generations. Some of my favorites of that generation actually. The Terminator 1 games on Genesis/ CD, Batman (NES, Genesis), Alien 3 (SNES Gensis), Aladdin (SNES, Genesis), Super Star Wars series (SNES)

lots of shite too though..

The SNES actually had a few decent ones for sure.

The NES was a wasteland of trash though.

The E.T. effect largely never went away. Movie games were normally given to low budget, low talent dev teams and thrown together quickly to cash in on the movie's success which is why they were almost all so bad.

The audio in that trailer is badass. It makes me want to fire up the movie tonight with some bourbon and surround sound going full blast
