If you download the roster file from pastapadre's ea locker and do not edit anything on it, you will be fine. The problem is when you correct some of the incorrect spelling of names and overwrite the file it is locking up the 360. Also pasta never said he made this roster file, there are rumors that he got it from one of the EA developers EA locker. No one is yet to complete their own roster file without it locking the machine up or teams disappearing.

Big surprise, EA appears to disappoint again.

the gameplay wasn't that bad last year on the ps2

The poor AI pursuit angles ruined the gameplay last year.

Some of these other glitches sound bad. D-Line getting no pressure, CPU-QB completing 90% of passes, and something called the "Rocket Catch".

Sounds like offense will be way too easy. Oh well maybe high scoring shootouts will be fun. We'll see tonight

On a side note.... the "disappearing teams" glitch seems to come from this:
When inputting player names, some players have names that are longer than 11 characters. Last year, 11 was the limit. This year, the limit to how long the names can be is 13. The theory is, when you put in names with more than 11 characters, the database can't handle it and starts to make room for it by removing other info. Unfortunately, this is as extreme as entire teams being deleted.

How ridiculous is that?

Someone on OS said they super simmed the LSU-Troy game and we won 103-0 with 857 yard of offense!

I guess the super sim feature is still broke, which sucks...

Reading this OS thread is just depressing.
When will EA finally get it right?!?

I got the game on Friday (360 version) and downloaded the rosters from pastapadre as well. I havent hit any glitches yet and I have played all weekend. Then again...I havent found the need to edit the rosters I downloaded.

Yeah, they seem to work fine as long as you do not edit them. Someone told me that the pastapadre guy took the rosters out of his locker, can you confirm that for me? If he did, would you mind putting yours in a locker for people on TD.com to grab them?

The fact that DT Linder is pretty confident that rosters can be edited as long as your console is offline is pretty reassuring for me, because editing the rosters is always a big deal for me. The guy knows what he's talking about... and honestly, I play mostly in dynasty mode so I probably just will not sign on with the game until a fix has been made.

The EA guys on OS are saying the online/offline issue isn't the reason. I don't see why it would be an issue. I think the 11 character names vs. 13 character names makes more sense.

I will post the answer to this as soon as I get back from work. I already planned on putting the rosters in my locker regardless for my friends to download.....and obviously anyone else who chooses to do so. Gamertag: kdawg219

His roster is no longer available for download. I just uploaded mine so anyone can download it.

That is super irritating. Defenders chasing after a spot two yards behind the runner, then they can't catch up. I limit myself to a 2 second burst on the speed button to make up for it.

I've also had the game for a few days and I did some LSU edits based off of Pastapadre's base file. You are free to use it, but I wouldn't recommend editing more than one or two other teams. Also, the EA designer said that editing any player on a team will count as the whole team being edited in the game's database, so keep that in mind. As long as you don't edit it too much, things should work fine for all facets of the game. The sign that you've done too much is if FIU, FAU and/or WKU disappear out of the team database.

I posted this on Operation Sports to help out one of the roster editors who will improve on FK's base roster:

QB
#3 Jordan Jefferson changed to #9

HB
#28 RJ Jackson changed to FB Stevan Ridley #34 RFR 5-11 209

FB
#55 Kellen Theriot changed to LOLB. (Scout.com listed him as a FB, but he enrolled early and only played LB in the spring. May eventually move to MLB)

WR
#80 Terrance Toliver's class is wrong he should be listed as Soph
#89 DeAngelo Benton changed to #19 DeAngelo Peterson 6-3 195
#6 Chris Tolliver will wear #21

TE
#82 Richard Dickson switched to #18 in the spring
#41 Jordan Corbin (took hardship waiver, won't play any longer) changed to #83 Mitch Joseph RFR 6-5 240 medium skin if you care about that
#83 Matt Branch is actually (looking at height/weight) #46 Tyler Edwards

LT
#76 Jarvis Jones moved to RT where he's battling for starting job

LG
#77 Earnest McCoy moved to 2nd string LT
#64 Matt Allen (Transferred to aTm) changed to #60 Will Blackwell RFR 6-4 293

C and RG are good as is

RT
#66 Max Holmes (Transferred somewhere D-1aa) changed to #75 Greg Shaw true FR 6-5 285 change skin to dark

LE
#94 Chancey Aghayere will wear #81

RE
#90 Ricky Jean-Francois should be toprated DT he started and dominated from that position in both SEC and BCS championship games
#95 Chase Clement will wear #88 and has light skin not dark

DT
#97 Al Woods is this year's Brandon Graham or whoever it was that EA had rated as a 99. He should be the #4 DT at best behind #'s 90,99, and 91.

LOLB
#52 Ace Foyil is actually the #3 MLB

MLB
#30 Ryan Baker will wear #22 and play ROLB

ROLB
#50 Kyle Prater will wear #57
#17 Shomari Clemons is actually a LOLB

CB
#45 Patrick Johnson will wear #7
#33 Tyson Andrus (no longer listed on roster) changed to #25 Phelon Jones RFR 5-11 195
#28 Brandon Taylor will wear #15
I created 2 RFR who at the very least will see back up time and contribute in the return game:
#13 Ron Brooks 5-11 180 medium skin from Dallas, TX
#31 John Williams 5-11 175 medium skin from Breaux Bridge, La
Brooks is a little bit ahead of Williams

FS
#41 Karnell Hatcher will wear #37, either he or #23 Stefoin Francois needs to be switched to SS

I just read that EA is recommending people not use pastapadres rosters because they act like a virus and they asked him to pull them from his locker
