Did you even play SWG before the combat upgrade or the NGE that came later?
SWG was one of the best MMOs on the market until SOE killed it with the CU and the NGE. SWG didnt fail SOE failed at maintaining it.

It was a fun game for a while, but once they did the whole holocron thing and the ridiculous grind for Jedi, they ruined it in my and everyone else I know's opinion. We had fun for a while with it though, I'll give it that. I especially started liking it when they fixed Comando
As much as I liked it in the beginning, I thought it got frustratingly boring after a while, and I don't think I am the only one who felt that way.
