So what’s the latest in gaming headset technology?

I’m still rocking those Philips SHP9500 and an Amazon special boom mic. My buddies keep telling me my mic sounds like shite and the headset sits loose on my head and falls constantly so it’s time for a new setup.
Looking to get a new headset/mic combo (all-in-one) to make things simpler. Thinking of a wireless/bluetooth option. What brands models should I look at?

A good quality set of IEMs with a boom mic attachment.

Glad you started this thread because im in a similar situation. I may just try to find something cheap with good reviews since that worked out very well for me when it comes to earbuds. Chinese companies steal all the technology then pump out cheap knockoffs. Difference is comfort is pretty important when it comes to headphones and the phillips over ears were pretty great when it comes to that

The JBL Quantum line is legit AF, from the entry level to the top end. The 950X is about as legit as it gets for gaming headsets.

What games do you play?
I switched to IEM because I play a lot of FPS on the PC and I can hear footsteps much much better with good IEMs.

mostly FPS. mainly CoD. might mix it up with Destiny. occasional story driven single player game.

Leaving the phillips open back you sre going to be miserable if you get anything not open back. I tried a top dollar closed back set and a regular turtle beach set when those pissed me off. Can feel my ears sweating after a half hour. Miserable. Immediately ordered another set of phillips. I use a seperate mic for pc. Yeti nano currently but eventually going high dollar to get good vocals for my roleplay servers.
