Last week it randomly shut off after an hour or so of play Valhalla and then earlier this week, I turned it on, went to take a piss and make a drink. Came back and the damn thing had shut off and hasn’t turned back on since. I bought a new power cord, I took the hard drive out and cleaned it, opened the top and cleaned it (was very very little dust in it and oddly enough, none near the fan), and it still won’t come on.

Worst part is, I have my copy of Valhalla sitting in the damn disc reader. I had been debating whether I wanted to get a PS5, but I decided against paying $500 to be a beta tester for a new console that only has two games on it right now that I want to play which are both current gen to show a little bit of fiscal discipline but frick me sideways that’s out the window.

Anyone wanna sell me a ps4 for about $3.50?

Yup. Xbox wins by giving us Zenimax, Sony wins by sabotaging their customers into compliance.

A signal ping was sent out through the PS network. A lot of systems are programed for self destruction when a new system comes out

I have country internet, if I had to download all of Valhalla i’d be waiting til the next AC comes out to play it.

So how fricked am I going to be trying to trade this PS4 pro in for another ps4 today? Should I just go with gamer blue balls and hope I can get a PS5 via trade in at some point in the next few weeks?

I wouldnt spend any more (even time) on an older system if you're planning to buy new.

Dropped it off at a repair shop. $85 for them to look at it. Said they’d call me back tomorrow afternoon or Sunday morning and let me know what’s what
