$1,500 budget what would you buy? Box and guts only, no software or peripherals.

What am I using it for? If gaming, what do I play, with what settings, and at what resolution?
$1,500 is a decent budget, but not what I would call a high budget, so compromises will need to be made somewhere.

Give a few examples of the games (determines GPU/CPU emphasis), resolution, and target fps (or just the refresh rate of your current monitor).

Since the game releases have been shite the last couple of years, games like Cyberpunk, Witcher 3, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Metro. etc..

Though I can't fathom why, it feels like you're actively avoiding my resolution and refresh rate questions at this point?

Ok, and what's your purchase timeline? We are right at the beginning of a hardware release cycle which will continue over the next few months. I think you'll be able to get more value if you hold off for a bit longer, but if you need to buy now/soon, it's not the end of the world. Just shifts things a bit.

Just trying to get a feel for things, incase I want to upgrade.

The computer I linked would likely give you somewhere around 2-2.5x FPS uplift over the one you just linked.

I just need some game releases that would justify an upgrade, right now I am not seeing it.

I don't necessarily agree with you, but considering my over-arching advice would be to wait a few more months, I'm not particularly inclined to talk you into it

Yeah there are a lot of popular games on here that are not my style. Used to be 2-3 games a year I was hyped for, but I can't remember a game release like a W3 or Skyrim for a long time.

Get this from the PX
I have it and haven't run into any issues. Will most likely upgrade the PSU soon.
This one is $1,500
