Setting up both kids' Nintendo Switches - account confusion

Nothing makes me feel like the old man I am like trying to sort out my kid's gaming logins.
Both boys have Switches.
(A)
(B)
I have a nintendo account with a "Family Group". Within that I see:
Member (1) Admin
Member (2)
Member (3)
Member (4)
Pretty sure one boy managed to make two accounts.
(B) doesn't use his much and it is asking me to "Link a Nintendo Account."
What the hell should this second switch be linked to? I tried my admin account and it warns me "this cannot be undone"
I don't want to screw it all up, but I'm totally confused as to what to do to get them sharing whatever they can share.
