Series S Monitor Question

Just bought a Series S. Not trying to pay for a monitor that costs just as much as the system (unless I absolutely NEED to). I’m looking to stay under $200. Is that possible? I haven’t owned a console in about 4 years. Back then i mainly played sports games and Halo or Call Of Duty. What do you guys recommend as the best bang for my buck?

A console display under $200? Buy the nicest 120hz TV you can find. Don't complicate things.

Go worker told me to go with this for $225:
MSI Full HD Non-Glare 1ms 1920 x 1080 144Hz Refresh Rate USB/DP/HDMI FreeSync 24” Gaming Curved Monitor (Optix MAG240CR) - Black

Are you gaming on a computer desk, or from the couch?

That is perfect but I wouldn’t go curved

I’m going to set up a desk for a gaming station. I’m sure I’ll get back in to it more hardcore down the line. Right now, I’m just trying to get back in to gaming in general.

The reason I ask is that while gaming monitors are obviously better pieces of tech in a vacuum, none of that matters if you're going to be sitting more than about 3' away from the screen. At that point, size, does in fact, matter.
And don't go curved on a small standard aspect monitor. I have a curved monitor, but it's a 34" ultrawide.

Gotcha. Yeah when I played in my younger 20s I was always pretty close to the screen.
I already ordered the curved screen. I guess I’ll try it out and if I don’t like it I’ll reassess
