I’m surprised I survived the first run through. It was so similar to the original I’m not sure how much they’ll change for the better to make it worth a play though. That’s my only concern. Other than that it looks gorgeous

Based on the trailers, it seems pretty faithful to the source material.

Seems like Luis is going to play a larger role as a companion/helper this time around though. So perhaps there will be other subtle variations to the plot beyond that.

I haven’t played it since the original versions launch so it will feel fairly fresh regardless. I can remember the plot loosely but I’m sure it will feel more novel than if I’d have just played it a week ago.

The other thing to consider is that the original controls and the over reliance on QTEs added a little mid 2000s jank to the original. I could never make myself replay re4 because of those elements, so I’m excited to play a more updated version for that reason alone.
