This app is pretty legit if your computer is on the cusp of needing to be put out to pasture like mine is. I downloaded GTA 5 over the weekend but was disappointed to see that I couldn't play without the game freezing every few seconds no matter what graphical setting I had the game on.

I downloaded Razor Cortex and let it do its thing before booting the game, and it virtually eliminated my freezing issue. Without the freezing issue, I'm playing at near max settings minus ultra shadows and a lower-end AA setting.

It's a program that closes unnecessary background processes and frees RAM to be used towards running the game.

I literally don't know what more I can close. My startup processes are limited. I just have sort of a frankenstein PC build with some parts that are 5-10 years old.

I have 8GB of RAM in it, and many modern open world games are recommending 16.
