Ranked from hardest to easiest both times (I’m excluding demons souls you can or cannot)
1. For someone who has never played one second of a FromSoft Game
Dark Souls
Bloodbourne
Seikoro
Dark Souls 3
Dark Souls 2
2. People who have ample experience with the type of game they are into but in this hypothetical they have never played any of them
Seikor
Dark Souls 2 (only because it’s the worst hit box issue in any game ever made
Bloodbourne
Dark Souls
Dark Souls 3

Sekiro is much harder than the others because it lacks most of the RPG elements that you can use to strengthen your character.
I’ve platted them all and plan to disappear for weeks when Elden Ring drops, but Sekiro is the only one I ever actually questioned whether or not I could beat.

I agree with this statement, but I think both of our opinions are somewhat tainted as having played BB and souls first. Stripping all of that away to a more simple parry pressure system with very minor upgrade trees may come across simpler to a new player than having to have panic attacks on how much stamina you need or what dexterity does. I’m just musing and thought it was interesting. I definitely agree Sekiro is the most difficult to me.
It may also be worth Sekiro does actually have a pretty full combat tutorial training dummy even if most players never find it

The hardest one is whatever the first one you play is.
EDIT: I forgot about the entire Sunday (from morning until late evening, only taking breaks to eat or use the bathroom) that I spent throwing myself at the final boss of Sekiro until I beat him.
The answer is Sekiro.

I’m not sure that’s true. BB was my first and favorite and I find it way way easier than DS or DS3. DS2 is a joke the only dangerous thing there are hit box issues. I just find the quick pace emphasis on aggression more fun and not as challenging as more slow methodical dark souls

Fair points. I also think that the build matters a lot, and can go a long way to making a game easier or harder.

The build is insanely important, even more so for new players. Bloodborne is a little harder to frick uo if you’re new just don’t put anything to bloodtinge or Arcane and you’re likely good to go. DS can be screwed up 10000 ways. I turned my buddy onto DS after he watched me play BB one day and he had to start over 4 times before ringing the first bell his build was already so bad

All dark souls can be beaten at soul level 1
Build wasn’t bad. Your buddy is

I mean yeah they can. I watch someone on YouTube beat the game without taking damage once. 99% of players cannot do either of those things.

Those no hit runs are nuts
No hit is way harder than sl1 though .

They’re unreal. I consider myself very good at BB and pretty god at souls and have played through these games many many many times and I’ll still frick up anytime im not at max focus. They (players doing no hit runs) must have Adderall mainline IV going

Yeah soul level 1 runs aren’t so much as hard, assuming you know the game layout mechanics and fights, as much an exercise in patience

Weak.
I spent a week, several hours a day, on lightning Genichiro.
My buddy who was playing in parallel with me made it to Genichiro before I did. I beat the boss before he did. He quit the game and never picked it back up.
