question for a friend concerning xbox...i know nothing about xbox..

does anybody know how to treat an original xbox hard drive as an xbox slim hard drive using a transfer cable...
he said something about a new update might have messed him up...do any of you know what he is talking about or how to do it..thanks..

I couldn't figure that shite out either.
The easiest course of action would be to just buy a 32GB flash drive and move all the stuff he wants from the old xbox to the flash drive and then just stick that bitch in the new one.

Does he need to know how to transfer data from the old hard drive to the new xbox?
There's a small tab on the side of the transfer cable. Pull that out and connect it to the old style xbox hard drive, then connect the usb end to the new slim.
That's how I transferred mine. I'm not really clear as to whether or not that's what you're asking though
