I don't like the idea of sticking something on my tv, but I did hang a paper clip from fishing wire so it would rest in the center of my tv for Gears of War years ago. It actually worked really well.

I think for 3rd person views it worked better. Especially while running. With RV6 it was more of knowing where your shot was going when you ducked out. Same on Gears from behind cover i would imagine.

When R6V came out it didnt see it that way. That was along time ago and like I said I dont use the dot now ....and do pretty ok.
