Purchase Xbox Live for 3years then convert to game pass for $1

It is a great deal and I am locked in for 2.5 years of Game Pass now :)
With MS game studios releasing all their games into Game Pass at launch, it was a no brainer.
Probably the best deal in console gaming ever, when it comes to bang for literal buck

I ended up with about 2 years. I probably should have purchased another year of gold before converting, but I'm okay. This gives me plenty of time to stockpile Microsoft Rewards points to get more time for free.

can you further explain what you mean by MS game studios releasing all their games into game pass at launch? which games exactly? and are you saying you get those games for free? or for a discount or what? thanks for the help

Where are y’all reading that the rest of the months you have for Live get converted for free? All I’m seeing is that you get one month for $1. Fine print says:
That just sounds to me like the rest of my months get upgraded to where they can begin charging me for $14.99/month. Am I missing something?

Mine says the same thing. First month is $1, but everything after the first month is $14.99 per month.

Pretty much any 1st party game is launching on Game Pass as well. New Gears and Halo will. I am hoping the flight simulator will as well. Here are the studios

They upgrade the rest of your live for $1. When that runs out it goes to $14.99. You can max your live out to 36 months and get it for $1
So I was already going to have live anyways and now have Game Pass for the cost of just Xbox Live Gold. You can cancel when it converts if you want.
Before you do it, buy at least 2 years of Xbox Live and and stack it in. If you paying month to month on Gold, this is not for you. 2 years of Gold is $120 at normal cost.

Looks like it is still going and maybe for 15 more days.
You get to play Gears and Halo as long as you have Game Pass, unless you choose to buy the games.

I don’t know if anyone else has had this issue but it won’t let me add a third year onto my account. It said something like “your subscription has reached its limit at 2-5 years”
