Nah, keep it simple with a focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and a cheap shure mic. You can do the mixing in windows. Although a cheap be hiring 4 track mixer could be thrown in and wouldn't make it too complex.

I saw someone selling a 2i2 on letgo for like $60. Almost bought it, but then I realized I'd have no use for it

My real concern is trying to keep it all as simple as possible because of the issues I've had as I include more programs.

Your problems have me extremely stumped. We run nearly the same programs, so I want to help you solve yours in case it ever happens to me

The mic issues have followed me since I began using the Snoball years and years ago.
The last couple of things that have made me do resets though, not fun at all. I don't know if they would be solved with upgrades, but I feel like a 7700k, 16g ram and a 1070 should be able to do the stuff im asking

100% should. The 7700k is a beast and handles most of the streaming stuff, and the 1070 handles most of the gameplay. I don't see any reason 16gb of ram would be a problem since you don't use that amount

I assume with the resets you've done full driver updates too (audio, nvidia, etc)?

Blue snowball is USB right? Maybe a bad USB cable/USB port?

Perhaps. It saves everything to my old hard drives, so it would just be the program and not the recordings right

Possibly the program. I don't know how much GPU power shadowplay recording uses
