PS4 (Not PS4 Pro) doesn't connect to 5Ghz?

Is this for real? Switched my wifi to 5Ghz only and now my Playstation won't see my SSID. Is there a way around this??

The base PS4 does not support 5GHz.

Did you get a new router from your ISP? Recently Spectrum sent me one that appears to do 5ghz only, they one I replaced ran a 2.4 and 5.
You can buy a router that does 2.4/5 and scrap whatever you are using or just a 5ghz access point (cheaper) and run an ethernet from the access point into the PS4.
