The growth has been there for the last 10-15 years. Broussard, for as corrupt at that mayor is, is making huge strides to make life comfortable down there.
However, I-10 at Louisiana Ave. is making a huge push for growth right now. That is considered "Upper" Lafayette, or North Lafayette to us regular people.
I try avoid South Lafayette as much as possible, simply because that's where the most densely populated areas are.

I think I won the Dirty Santa today...a big bottle of Stella, two Stella beer glasses and a Starbucks mug with some faggy coffee beans, but the mug has a top so it's legit...I needed one of those.

These were a huge hit with my daughter last year (was 3). Not expensive at all either. I do think the Walmarts and Targets of the world carry these too, they just won't be 11 bucks.
