It's okay, but it's stuff I already know. He just now finished describing all of the computer parts. I'm the only IT major in the class so that's super fun for me since he confirms with me every time he says something.

Seriously? That's the core of calculus. The instantaneous slope of a curve function is the tangent line that touches the curve function at that spot...or the derivative. And it looks like this:
You don't remember taking derivatives and integrals of functions? Like f(x) = 2x^2, so the derivative or f'(x) = 4x?
