Lost to UCLA 9-1

9 turnovers to 1....just hilarious how people can set their adjustments and play the " system" and not the game.

I understand the option offense is a real offense, but I personally think its a punk bitch offense and I did shut it down onnce again.

I can go on for days about this subject, but I really can't stand playing people like this, these are the kind of people that make me throw my controller and break it because I'm doing everything right and then yeah...just pathetic.

You did a fantastic job of shutting down the big plays on the option. There were zero cb glitches in this game, and I'm happy about that. I don't know what you're complaining about with my offense.

If you want to complain about something, how about tossing 5 ints? I admit 1 int was a lb super jump, but the others were directly to my guys sitting in a zone. And the first fumble return for a td I called a run commit right at you and blasted your guy with a big hit. If that's "gaming the system" than so be it.

just like you can on and on about what you disagree with, I can go on and on about guys that lose and blame everything on the system, ea, the glitches, and their opponents "gaming the system."

I played straight up - and you got whipped. Deal.

Negative, you didnt play "straight up"...

5 ints come from me having to throw and all you do is Sit in a zone, I was telling my wife watch this, I am about to magically fumble...next thing you know boom somehow fumble...don't worry man I play against your type all the time online and it's pathetic. First sign of it is someone who runs the option or goal line offense..then the next thing is someone who knows the system..yeah my cb's won't so call "glitch" because I know how people like you play it..I just wish we didn't have this in our league because no one will stand a chance against something like this. I am probably the closest thing near it.

The one turnover you had was not forced by an adjustment or anything, it was a f'd up pitch by you because I played your option correctly..that's another reason why I wasn't returning kickoffs at the beginning of the game is because that is the easiest place to fumble on these kind of games...just all around pathetic...everyone else shouldn't play for a title because theirs no way you will lose

We'll just have to agree to disagree. I run the option because I like it and think its a great offense. It's actually much less effective than it could be because so many of the blocking schemes are broken.

I ran the goal line package on the goal line and when it was less than a yard for the first down, until the end of the 4th when I was killing time.

I mostly play zone in obvious passing situations. I didn't know that was off limits or not playing straight. If it becomes obvious you struggle against a zone d, why would I not run it?

I set my strip ball setting to aggressive. There's a very simple counter to that. I can't help it if you don't do it.

In the first game we played, you insinuated the win was cheap because I ran for lots of yards. In this game, it's cheap because I played solid D. I don't know what else to do.

Once again, I contend I did nothing that was illegitimate with this game.

I would like for anyone that posts in this thread to please let me know if you believe running a flex and wishbone option is not legit. I obviously don't feel this way, but I don't want to be perceived as winning because I run a shady offense.

Longhorn, I believe I know where you stand on this.

I will absolutely abandon the option if there is a consensus that it gives an unfair advantage in any way.

I will not, however, stop playing zone defenses.

Man, I apologize for running the score up on you. After I got up 55-7 at halftime, my intention was to chew the clock out the entire second half, which is what I tried to do. Unfortunately, you kept going for it deep in your own territory on 4th down. When you didn't make it, it gave me a very short field to score more points.

Your 5 ints and 2 fumbles didn't help either. Neither did my two kickoff returns for touchdowns. UAB must be a very, very bad team. Good luck with trying to rebuild that program.

I don't think the option is an unfair advantage. You beat me badly last time we played, but we were neck and neck until the safety late in the first half and I lost all momentum.

As far as the turnovers, I always set my carry to conservative because I cannot stand to fumble. Whether or not someone is using the aggressive strip ball or not. Since that is the only way to "control" whether you fumble or not.

I honestly can't complain much about games I lose, FAU is probably a top 3 worst team in the league so I just accept it.

As do I. I rarely fumble unless it's of my own creation - like a desperate option pitch when the spacing isn't right.

My option got destroyed last night. I just had 3 defensive tds to make up for it.

As a league - if we decide to leave all settings balanced, I'd be cool with that.
