PS3 NCAA 14 acting crazy

Broke it back out after a while and it randomly seems to hit buttons or get stuck on buttons I'm not pressing. I thought it was the controller so I got a new one, same problem. Could it be the game? Has the console just finally had it? Since the new NCAA isn't coming out until 2050 I figured I'd get back into this one but I hate to buy another used one not knowing what I'm getting. Anybody else had this happen and any solutions?

Realistically it's the PS3 or game if you've already checked the controller by getting a new one.
I would be concerned about the game if you have a physical copy and the disc is damaged. If the disc appears to be fine, then the console disc reader or something else within the console could be having issues.

Sounds like I'll just have to suck it up and get a new everything. I still download updated rosters and literally sit there and get the heights, weights, faces, equipment, ratings, everything spot on to play. Damn I wish that game had kept going
