Y'all see the Feds are trying to make states collect sales tax on internet sales?
You are technically supposed to report the Use Tax (I think that's it) on all internet sales anyway.

i'm indifferent about them doing it
its really costing the states money, and the bonus of buying online really hurts local retailers
i could see them doing state sales tax online, but local taxes would really be a pain for the online retailers, too much to keep up with

Do you think it would hurt sites like Amazon? The only thing they could offer would be convenience. Lots of times prices are really comparable to store prices, but at least you don't "have" to pay tax.
I don't care if they do because states are just missing out on that revenue.
