Dark pants, can't go wrong with a pressed White fitted button up
Dark blue, a dressy plaid, white with some pink stripes, solid purples, all I think would fit your conservatism

I would go darker jeans, lighter blue shirt and the khaki blazer. But I've never worn that so I don't know. I'm a dress for success kinda dude. Personally I would go with blue jeans and white shirt sans jacket.
