I think I remember hearing that smart phone numbers are down too. They sold big when everyone needed one and now everyone has one and each new version isn't all that different.

What is everyone playing tonight?
Looking for some Co-Op fun!

Which a 7950?
I have one also! Thing runs super quiet and cool! MSI >>> ASUS... they make the best boards and cards IMO.
ETA:
I'm interested in one of those SSDs if you're selling @ 70% of current retail.

Decided to get a small Lian Li PC-V351B for my new server. This will be my 2nd Lian Li (3rd if you count the test bench) they are really impressive cases. Only bad part is you can not touch them with your hands.. you seriously need cotton gloves. The brushed aluminum absorbs the oil on your hands and it is hard to remove after.

The 2 games and expansion are almost more than the card lmao.
AMD is owning nVidia with these deals. I know nVidia is to offer a AAA title coming up but it still wont compare to what AMD offers.

Is yours voltage locked or did you have to flash the bios?
Posted on 4/14/13 at 5:36 pm to LSU Coyote
yeah right now you can get a 7850 w/ 3 games for $165 or a 660 w/ no games for $180
thats about the closest comparison in price and performance i could come up with

You have to really like nvidia right now to buy theirs. AMD has such good deals going.

Yep.. they are making affordable PC gaming at a high lvl.
..but this damn nVidia Grid shite makes me want to throw up. I hate thinking about having a cloud gaming service and not running games on a standalone PC. I love building PCs and I want the enthusiasts market to keep growing! Yes I understand tech will move forward but love how we can pick our parts and tailor our systems to our needs.

I saw AMD wants gaming to go to the cloud too. How would that work?

Yea they are both working on it.
How will it work? Servers do the computations. The problem with this is latency and bandwidth. We need fiber to bring down latency and up bandwidth. It is down the road because the infrastructure isnt here but it will be the future.

That's how I figured it would work but I agree that is a few years away. It sounds like a great idea even if it hurts what guys like us do.

Disagree, I don't want to rely on an internet connection to play games.
Posted on 4/14/13 at 8:58 pm to DoUrden
My belief is based on better Internet technology and consistency than what we currently have.

I am glad it's a ways off, but I also used to be a "gotta have a box copy" guy.

I had to have the box about a year ago. I have one box now and wish I didn't
