Switching jobs?
I'm about to switch jobs. The market is about to explode in this area. We are about to ride a 3-4yr wave of steady wage increases.

None.
I shut down my hardware every chance I get.

What are you switching too?

Just switching company not disciplines. I do Cost Control/Scheduling for industrial contractors. So leaving the company I work for to join a consulting group.

According to the site the naming of the new GK110-based card is not yet decided. The naming of TITAN LE became apparent because of the leak from HWiNFO changelog. It was later reported as invented name by a person related to the project of HWiNFO.
Moving forward to the GTX Titan LE, or TITAN Jr. as some say, it’s based on a GK110 GPU derivative, with less CUDA cores than original TITAN — 2496 in total.

Pc gaming about to take off
No doubt, the next 2yrs will yield more games for our platform with better coding not just ports for PC.
Thank you x86 on platforms!

I am interested to see how amd does with pc gaming since they will be in the consoles. Do they get games optimized for them better or do they put too much attention in consoles and fall behind? Can't wait to see.

It is all the same platform now.
All the same coding.. lol x86
ETA: But.. I see what you're saying.

Ps4 games have access to 7gb ram
Should we expect GPU's to start using more ram in the future and upping the amount on cards? Obviously this is dependent on game designers using more memory than they have in the past.

The latest figures from the International Data Corporation (IDC) don’t paint a pretty picture for the survival of the PC industry as we know it. During Q1 2013 total worldwide PC shipments totalled 76.3 million; this figure represents a 13.9 per cent decline year-on-year and is much worse than the analyst forecasts, which estimated the decline would be nearer to 8 per cent.

I saw that. This has been in the works for a while. I think the everyday common use of a pc like Internet and word processing is taking a hit because it is replaceable plus old machines still work fine so no need to buy a new one. I would be interested to see what number of sales is for gaming, workstation, enthusiasts.

If it will surf the net and check email then that's all the average user needs and you can do that with any machine that still runs.

yeah
agreed on both
look at everyone here,
none of us have bought a PC from a vendor in a while id imagne.
So while the prefab PC industry may be fading away,
components/circuits/gaming sure as heck isnt.
