The 1080Ti is $999? Don't feel so bad about my Titan XPs @ $1200.

Hope VEGA brings these fckking prices down. Jesus.

Edt: Nvm that was a bad article. It is $699. This is an awesome price.

It should still run it.

May not be at 3200 right away though.

Thought I saw the AM4 boards supported 2133, 2400, and 2667 right away.

UH, correct me if I'm wrong.

ILikeLSUToo, Sorry to confuse.... I meant to say if Ryzen MB's over clock that high. It will still run at lower speeds to clarify.

Ryzen supports 3600MHz out of the box, the cheap motherboards are the ones that need a bios update for faster speeds.

Stick to the Asus Crosshair or MSI X370 offerings and you'll be fine at 3200MHz out of the box.

Wonder if I can keep my water block if I go AMD. I am guessing XSPC is going to push their new Raystorm Pro and not sell AM4 brackets for the old Raystorm.

Good to know. Not that a $50+ block would be a deal-breaker on this probably $2,000 upgrade.

Might be a while before they actually sell at that price. The old 1080 is also dropping to $499.

I'll wait for the 1080ti to actually be around $699 and then I'll pick one up.

Well, I still got a 4770K and a pair of 980s. CPU upgrade would mean CPU, mobo, and DDR4... But I may stick with a single card. Not sure yet.

Ryzen reviews are live and they are glorious! Matches, beats, or comes damn close to the 6900K across the board. Nice.

Reviews seem to think it is underwhelming for gaming

Yeah AMD has kinks to work out but a solid effort. Going with skylake-x for pcie lanes and overclocking headroom though.

8 cores aren't for gaming.

I will go 6 core when they launch, just don't need 8 cores for mild workstation with a side of gaming.

6900k beats 7700k in some newer games. 8 cores is future proofing.

So does Ryzen and within a few FPS in the others. That's the 1700 at 3.9 vs 5ghz 7700k too.

Zelda Breath Of The Wild already up and running all the way to the title and save screen in Cemu emulator.

They think they will have it fully functional within weeks.
