Case: Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window

who posted that they found this for like 65 dollars yesterday? not that it isn't worth 120, but that would be a big save.

why do you need this, I know its 9 dollars but jw.

I would put down the extra fifty bucks to get 240gb but that's personal preference.

again, you can get 3tb seagates for like 130 and 2tb for 90. I bought a nice 500gb hdd just a few months ago and now I am keeping an eye out for a bigger hdd. Not hurting for space mind you, but it fills up faster than you think once you make a disk image, do regular backups, get any kind of media, etc

Motherboard: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ATX LGA1155 Motherboard ($129.99 @ Microcenter)

good board and nearly what i paid for mine, but these change price rather frequently not to mention got comboed with 8gb ram recently.

CPU Cooler: Enermax ETD-T60-VD 76.0 CFM CPU Cooler ($34.99 @ Newegg)

No. Your case will fit the biggest tower heatsinks they make. Why buy a low profile one with less surface are with which to dissipate heat? CM 212 evo huge surface area, well respected especially for 30 bucks, and cheaper than the enermax.

Overall looks like a good build with lots of high quality components. You wont be disappointed with the way you have it now, but I am trying to get you a little more bang for buck. The only must is the cpu cooler.

I'll have to look at the cpu cooler. I don't know much about them at all and I may just wait till later because I am not overclocking right now.

It was earlier in the thread and I ordered one but they are sold out now.

I am maxed out at my budget now so I can't really go for anything else. I would like to up my storage but I have a laptop with all my media so this is just for steam basically. I was tempted to hold off on the ssd and use the money for a better gpu but i think the 7870 will be good for me. The only manufacture I trusted by word of mouth was evga and sapphire so I did kind of limit my options.

I would spend $4 more and get the Kingston HyperX 3K or $8 more for the Samsung 830. They're both better than the 840

EDIT: Can you link which Sapphire 7870 you bought?

That card is a great card, shouldn't have any problems

I'm pretty sure it can easily be flashed to a ghz edition pretty easily, which will up its clocks some

Even better one

And I would advise that you get shoprunner. I think you get 3 months free trial (the more you use it the longer the trial gets).

They are basically the same card and will have the exact same performance. They both have dual fan coolers, so temps wont be too different between them.

I would grab whichever is cheapest

You can actually get that 840 SSD that you pick out earlier for $89.99.

Use Promo Code: EMCXVWV45

And this amazing power supply (I'm pissed that I can't get it) for $109.99

Promo Code: EMCXVWV28

Get the Cooler Master Hyper 212 CPU cooler. Very highly rated for air cooling.

Go to NCIX.com for the Fractal Design Define R4 case. They have them on sale this week for $79.99 which is still a great price. NCIX usually has some pretty good deals.

As soon as I read the reviews earlier I made the switch. Cooling is something I will have to learn a lot more about as time goes on. For now I am not overclocking though.
