I think I found it....
In BIOS, should I enable the NVME Raid for the SSD?

Are you looking to run your drives in a RAID configuration?

No.
If I have the drive showing on Bios and device manager, it then should be "enabled" already for windows right?
My disk management shows a (device 0 partition 3) but not matching the space for the drive. I'm wondering if that is a screw up from when it tried to make the disk partition?

It showing in device manager isn't sufficient; you need to ensure that it's "enabled" in device manager.

Then it should be. So that random extra drive you're seeing, have you tried "initializing" it from there?

Alright. No idea what I did but it now has appeared and I have it working.
Maybe disabling it and re-enabling it from device manager prompted it. No clue.
Where do I send your bill?

I love it despite the frustrations

In fairness, and for any newbies who come along after, 90% of your frustrations were because you were trying to be cute and clever. If you had just tried from the start to plug the CPU1 cable into the CPU1 slot, you could have avoided a shite ton of aggravation

You are absolutely correct.
I'm just proud it fired up on the first attempt to start it after getting everything plugged in

It genuinely is a great feeling. I think I still kinda hold my breath for that few second gap between that first time I hit the power button and when the post screen flashes

Everything still working as advertised?

Yes. No smoke or odd sounds
The difference is remarkable.
