Overwatch 2 Closed Beta releasing April 26

Been trying to sign up since I got the Twitter alert about the news around 12 PM EST.. Blizzard site is being bombarded right now and it is down. I really want to get into this beta... Blizzard employees and key partners (OWL pros, etc.) will have alpha access it sounds like very soon (as in by this weekend or next week?) but are under NDA.
My concern is the Beta is only going to run a limited time then back to live OW, then more beta periods later in the year testing new stuff (this was basically confirmed in the latest Developer Update you can find on YouTube). So that also looks like this could get pushed to 2023 release.

It says PVP beta. I though Overwatch was only PVP. It has a campaign?

It will have a full story mode and 'hero missions' where you can level up heroes and pick different talents.

Well shite on me. I've never been big into pvp shooters. I love the campaigns though. I may have to look into this.

The alpha footage looks promising to me. More focus on individual skill, no more shooting double shield BS. Orisa doesn't even have a shield and is basically an entirely new hero. Doomfist, one of my most played DPS, is now a Tank and looks fun as hell with all that HP and Winston-type jump ability.

The gameplay I've seen honestly looks refreshing. Beta invites will start going out tomorrow.

Hoping that my i5-9600K helps me get in.. as i5 is an older generation of CPU and they want to test a wide range of PC specifications. I also signed up for the beta within the first couple hours of it being announced (I mashed F5 so much until it worked because it was so bogged down from the sheer amount of people trying to sign up).
I also have been playing OW since May 23, 2016 (first day barring actually participating in OW1 beta which I didn't).

If you don’t get in today from signing up then you are 100% guaranteed to get in tomorrow after watching 4 hours of eligible twitch streamers. There is only one 8-hour window to watch 4 hours only tomorrow for this guaranteed beta access!

I have not received access via email yet, but apparently, they are coming throughout the day if selected... so still hope I can play tonight. Otherwise the earliest I can play tomorrow is after 5 PM EST assuming I get an eligible Twitch stream up right at 1 PM EST, then start downloading the beta build right around 5 PM EST after I've 'watched' 4 hours.

Some of the changes are pretty interesting. Like how Orisa is more of a brawler tank now and Winston can poke from a distance before jumping in.

No 2CP. No double shield. Big addition by subtraction. Looks pretty fun.
