yeah 500 yards is pushing it on iron sights
Posted on 1/31/11 at 1:50 pm to MaroonDawg
I saw on a documentary that they were using iron sights @ 500 yards. It's a question i always thought about, that's why i asked.

Not really. I can hit the target at 800 with no problems. You're not supposed to be focused on the target anyway.

there is nowhere around where i live that would give you a shot over 300 yds... so i really cant get an idea how far this is. it looks far in the picture but that is different than actually being there and looking at it

You shoot based on wind, distance, whether the target is moving or not, etc. My point is when you pull the trigger your focus should be on the front sight post and not at what's about to die.

My stepmom's dad is pretty high up in national guard and he snuck back a pair. They're cool and all, just don't let your friend bring a maglite along on the trip without telling him what bright lights do to people looking through NVg's

so it's harder for you to get 11 kills than it is for you to get 25 kills....
What Danimal said plus no OMA. Plus, if you dont have scavenger on and you run out of ammo you pretty much got to put yourself in the line of fire to go find a gun.
No discouting getting a newk in any way, I admit I sucked so bad I will never ever get one, it's just harder to 10+ kills in a row with the BO is set up copared to MW2
