I'm going to roll a new character tonight and attempt a playthrough on master difficulty. I'm thinking a Nord 2H heavy armor guy. Somewhat inspired by Gregor Clegane from A Song of Ice and Fire.

Red Viper, ftw!

Except he's not a zombie(draugr)

I am about to do this
lvl 54 and my character is too powerful. Literally no challenge. Archery + enchantments are so high most everything falls to a single bow shot.
Think I am going to build some type of Elf/pure mage character this time around.

Same here. If I'm going to be a high level demi-god instrument of death, I think i would have more satisfaction swinging a greatsword or battleaxe and felling multiple opponents at a time

In all of Skyrim there is not one single spear to be found!

That is pretty f'ed up. Would be a great, light 2H weapon.
The cutscene could be red vipers "finishing move" used on the mountain. You know...before the "implosion".

I've just discovered the whole blacksmith as much as possible trap souls of wolves and deer in petty souls, enchant them to iron daggers you just created, make money, buy more supplies, continue process...
it took me forever to get from level 1 to 15, after discovering the above i've gone from 15-25 in like 3 hours

You're enchanting these daggers with low level gems. petty, lesser, common, etc...
Even with a petty gem, an iron dagger with paralyze will bring you almost 800 gold (with 100spch). Turn undead is a little less. These are the most profitable weapon enchantments. particularly after being improved by smithing.
For armor and rings/necklaces, fortify sneak and archery are the best paying enchantments. Even with small gems, these enchantments pay alot. Find and disenchant them asap.
This is particularly effective when your speech is low, and you're trying to build it. Sell each item, one at a time. The cycle also raises smithing and enchanting, of course.

This is one of the reasons my character is an over powered Demi-god killing all and becoming tedious.

Haven't read through the thread but had a quick question while waiting on wife to get off work. Any differences between ps3 and 360 editions? Main console is 360 but have a ps3 in bedroom for blu ray and gt5. Was thinking about getting this on ps3 for when wife is wanting to watch her shows in the den and thinks there is a difference in the 2 tvs ( they are same ) lol

Go with the 360 version. PS3 has lag issues.

Posted on 1/4/12 at 11:44 pm to MSMHater

Best supply for soul gems will generally be the "court wizard" or mage in each city
They tend to stay close to the Jarl of their respective city
Most vendors will have a few soul gems but the mages usually have the greatest variety and more that are charged which helps out early

I saw this before you edited, fwiw.
Like Dedfella said, court mages always have gems.
Each holds blacksmith usually has diffeerent enchanted items. Check them frequently for enchantments you don't already have. Otherwise, you have to find them at the end of dungeons/caves/forts.
There is a sword with paralyze in Mercer Frey's house in Riften. You have to find the secret passage to his basement hideout to find it.
