Prepare to spend most of it just as fast!

I don't believe this is the case in Skyrim. You can place the highest enchantment percentages on any type of armor/weapon you want. So your Iron armor would not be different from Daedric armor enchantments.
I did put the same enchant on a ruby gold necklace that I put on the diamond, but I wasn't able to put the same number on a silver amethys ring.
So I am not sold 100% that you can put the same enchant on iron armor as daedric. Heck, hang on, i'll go test it.

I have not tested this myself, but I got this information from this LINK.
If you scroll down a bit to the first question he answers, he mentions that the item doesn't effect the enchantment.

You need to teach me a) how to smith better and b) find daedric and/or dragon armor.

Yup, I got the same charge on a legendary iron armor.

how to smith better
Step 1: Find Iron Ingots and Leather/Leather Strips
1a. Convert Leather to Leather Strips if
necessary
Step 2: Find Forge
Step 3: Mass Produce Iron Daggers

find daedric and/or dragon armor.
I've only fought 5 dremora (3 from Black Star Quest and 2 from Mehrunes Dagger Quest) and the knuckleheads had the audacity not to have any daedric items.
You make Daedric with daedra hearts you can buy from alchemists and using ebony ingots.
Whiterun is the place to smith. Buy iron and leather strips make iron daggers. You get as much xp for making an iron dagger as you do making a daedric dagger.
I buy out the maiden store and the general store and then I would make daggers then go explore a cave for more gold and items to sell, then I would cash out and buy more ingots and sell the loot from the caves or quests and make more iron daggers. Save those daggers because you will enchant them once you have plenty of petty and lesser souls in gems save great and grand souls for when you are high level enchant.

So just make iron daggers to skill up? I have plenty of soul gems. And then once my skill is high enough, I'll be able to smith and enchant better weapons?

Yup. Iron daggers all the way to 100.

Smith, yes.
Enchant, no. You'll need to raise it separately. I did disenchants to about 40 then just started enchanting EVERYTHING I looted. If I could enchant it, I did. Sell it, make money, but more soul gems.

The higher the value of the item you enchant the more the skill goes up. Same applies for alchemy. This is how it should work for smithing but it does not. Really not sure why, it was quite dumb of them to do it that way only for smithing.

I wish someone would explain to me why the most expensive house has no storage containers near the enchanting table or the alchemist table even though there is plenty of space.
I bet that room full of nothing but crates will either be changed to a smithing room in the DLC or part of a quest in DLC.
But for the life of me I don't understand why the house is so useless.
I reality Whiterun is the easiest house to do almost everything you want except enchanting which is NOT the way it should be for a 5,000 gp home compared to a 25,000 gp home.
Times like this I wish I had the PC cause you know some Proudspire mods will be coming out soon.
Heck there is already a FULL retexting of Whiterun that Gamespot says make Whiterun look so good it makes the rest of the game look dreary in comparison.

I love my Windhelm home, they have 3 mannequins, tons of display cases, a weapon rack, weapon magnets, and shield magnets. The couple negatives is that it isn't as close to a smithing station as whiterun and there is no satchel near the Alchemy. I really don't understand how they put that satchel on the alchemy table in WR but not in any other house. In my Windhelm house, I store my stuff in the Wardrobe near the room with the enchanting table and alchemy station. The house in Riften is very bugged or haunted. Mannequins start floating in the air and moving around, furniture disappears, the stuff on all the shelves gets thrown all over.
A couple other issues. The bookshelves don't hold nearly enough books. When it is full there's still plenty of room and the books sort of lay on each other instead of standing straight up. Also I wish you could activate other shelves to store potions and ingredients and stuff. Dropping them and placing them somewhere is very time consuming and annoying.

On another note, I'm a level 46 and just started the MQ lol. I'm loving it so far, I wrecked shite at that Thalmor party

Posted on 11/24/11 at 10:44 pm to fouldeliverer
I wanted to test my new outfit so I hit a giant and 2 mammoths and totally wrecked their day. He had a daedric axe in a chest which is the first daedric item I have found.
I may need to crank the difficulty to master but I want to see how I fare against an Ancient Dragon or a group of mages. I think the 75% mage resistance makes a huge difference but I want to be hit by a few at once.
I'm thinking I probably do need to ramp up to master.

The ingredient pouch on the alchemy table really is an insanely stupid mistake.
I would actually like an explanation on that one. It makes no sense. Would be nice if after some quest, the pouch would show up in any house you purchase.
Dang, hottest chick i've seen so far wasn't interested.

Yeah that blows my mind. There are 3-4 storage containers in the whole house except the bedroom...where there are 4 more. Proudspire is shite. I like Whiterun and Riften so far. Don't have Markarth yet and haven't played since I bought the Windhelm house.

It's strangely frustrating that every time I have a great experience in game I think about how I have to suffer some idiotic shite like the no satchel thing. Excluding bugs, there's some choices that the dev team made that are illogical and maddening. And they're all simple things. For some reason it's worse to think about because most stuff in the game is so well thought out.
On an odd side not I really hope they fix that last stair problem in the patch lol
