Checking in!

So far its good. Controller not as bulky as I thought, really feels better. But its just a minor improvement really.

Been messing with the TV stuff, kind of annoying that the xbox has to be on to watch TV. Probably going to abandon it.

I was set on a PS4 but I'm tired of waiting when I could be owning noobs right now. Was going to make the jump but no availability cost them a customer.

I thought you could just say Xbox on and it turns the TV (or whatever's connected through it) on?

I can investigate further into it, but from what I've seen if the console is not the signal wont go through.

I have a lot more to read up on it since I was pretty set on a PS4 I haven't been paying too close of attention to what it can/cant do.

The kinect is kind of meh, wish they didnt bundle it together and charge more.

That's what I'm saying though, you should be able to say "Xbox on" and then it turns on then you can work it. I would think it would be able to turn your cable box on as well.

Xboners want to clarify?

XBONE turns on your cable box as well. And off.

My cable box is always on. I want to just turn the TV on and when the xbox is off I still see the TV.

The guide thing is nice that it can be customized but probably wont put in enough time for it. Wife was pretty against having to use the xbox to watch tv.

I guess I'm confused, unless your fear is power consumption. Just because tONE is on doesn't mean you're using it. Or that you'd even notice it's there beyond "Xbox: watch TV"

Ah yeah...I didn't think about that. When I'm not here the lady will have to deal with that. Because my cable box does turn off automatically after awhile

Yea, have to figure it consuming a good bit of power to just run.

Oh yea, that power brick is chessy as frick too. Lucky (I guess?) there was a spot from the 360 power brick I took out.

And BTDub, from everything I've read, DR3 is effing amazing and probably the exclusive to get. Fora is the best racing game I've ever played, buts still a racing game which tends to be polarizing.

Oh, and where did you find tONE that you couldn't find tPS4? Seems like both have been popping up a lot for sale(though, they sell out fast, but still)

Best Buy at Tuttle. Was there when they opened, they had no PS4s but 8 XBones

Does the Xbone only listen to the person who's signed into Lives name?

I can imagine my fiancé getting pissed, walking in, and saying xbox off on the reg just to piss me off. Not to mention my young son would do that all the time

Yeah, it's not a family feature that is for sure.

The CNET review guy already unplugged his cable box from his One. Said maybe down the road it'll be acceptable but as it is now with a family and in it's current state, it's a no go.

I thought that night the be one feature that would make be go Xbone, but the more I think about it, that might be what makes me go PS4. If I can't use that stuff, it loses it's edge I think. But I guess I'll keep getting more reviews til then.

Just read that article and I see myself having all of those problems

Doesn't seem like it would be good for the life of the machine to just be running the whole time the tv is on. Why run it all of those extra hours just to watch tv.

I love it too I could list the positives if you want
and if your SO or children use the tv just give them time to adjust to the way works and they will see how much better it is
