is the LINKS bad too? I know people are bitching about the LAKES, but i figured with the LINKS being more expensive, that it would be in better shape

I hear the Links are pretty bad too... not as bad as the Lakes, but not worth the $70 they charge to play on it.

The Links course isn't anything special. I don't know why they charge more for it.

i remember you saying it was in bad shape. the greens are shitty or what?
Posted on 5/10/11 at 4:03 pm to Black
the twilight fee is still $35 for the lakes

yes. Id say 14-18 of the greens on the Lakes have sand on them.... Some more than others... I remember 2 and 10 had it something fierce... Some "holy frick the grass quit growing, lets cover it with 19 bags of sand" type shite.

that course has never really been in good shape when ive played there.

How do they let greens die on a golf course? Do they spray Brawndo on them or something? It has electrolytes.

Growing greens isnt like growing tomatos, bruh...
Pelican just gets too much play... Always hosting scrambles, hackers all over the place, etc... They need to shut it down for a few weeks to try to get it back IMO

on any course, they have to rehab the greens at least twice a year to transition between seasons
its like old grass dying, new grass coming in
they usually offer discounts during these 1 or 2 months per year
they topdress the greens with sand to repair surface imperfections at the same time

i'll double check, but i'm pretty sure the only day i'd be able to play this weekend is Sunday. If so, i would be down to play Atchafalya

I was just trying to fit in a Brawndo joke.
PS, I want golf badly, too.
